Please elaborate on this. Do you need to replace the whole door? Or just the interior door panel?

As I know a lot of E36 cars, mine included, have issues with the door panel separating from the brackets that hold them in place. If this is your problem, it is an easy fix and their are some pretty good DIY videos on it.

But if you want to replace the whole door on both sides... that's a little beyond my expertise. :|

hi, i need to change the complete doors, some nice person tried to break in to it by getting hold of the top of the drivers door and wrenching it down, which damaged both door and window, the passenger door is ok but the window regulater is shot, i just thought it might be easier to change both doors than mess about with the window mechs, what do you think? regards Tony.

That's unfortunate about your driver-side door, atleast they didn't make off with your car! But as far as the passenger side issues, I think it would definitely be easier and cheaper to get a new regulator. The door panel comes off pretty easy. You just want to make sure to get a few extra door clips in case one or two break. You can get em from bavauto for a buck a piece.

Theres actually something going on with my driver side window too. I'm thinkin that it is just a bad connection that developed from bumping bass like a mad man! :) Anyway, I'm prolly going to be taking it apart sometime soon to troubleshoot, I can take some pics for ya if you want.
