E36 Alloys

Postby FJLawson on Thu Jul 23, 2009 7:41 pm

I recently got hold of a 1993 E36 320i SE, and along with this I got a set of 17" alloys without tyres. (8J X 17 H2 ) I was wondering what size tyres would fit (avoiding anything thats too low down). Also, if anyone could tell me if Im gonna need spacers to avoid rub, or if the alloys and wheels will even fit in the arches would be much appreciated

(Im a bit of a car nub)

They should fit as Alpina makes E36 wheels the came size. Tires are up to you. You can go could go 225/45 or if you want something wider a 245/40. That being said you might fit a 255 or you can try to save some money and go down to 215. Tires are usually pretty happy to stretch or squish to fit a rim thats a different width.
