Excessive pressure in cooling system

Hi new here. Just bought very neat 316 i bmw 1999 model for my wife. Saturday morning I noted radiator pressure even when cold. It has excessive pressure in the system when driving now also. My thought was a blown head gasket? I have some experience with other makes of cars with the changing of head gaskets but none with this model. Is there some place where I can get a repair manual for this model [to download] ? Thanks in advance. Riaan Sharp.
