help please new bmw owner

hi all i need a question answering ive just bought a 1996 2.8 sport with a bit of damage to the front im lookin for some pannels for it. to try and keep the price down i want to buy them second hand but ive come across a problem ive been told mine is a face lift and i need face lift bits .so what are the diffrences can i use any parts from the earlyer e36 cheers
