Help Please

Hi everyone i'm new in your blog and i hope you can help and i'll benefit from ur experience.

1st my car is e36 325 model 94

my problem started 2 month ago when I started the car in the morning and it was still cool, there was like low metal hitting but i can barely hear it.

But lately this thing became more often while sometimes it starts perfectly.I start the ignition then i hear the metal sound louder, i'm worried, please can someone explain whats happening with the car when i start it in the early morning or (when i keep the car for a day or 2 without starting its engine).

regarding to your prob i think you must check the oil see if it is not to thin if it is change the oil
