bad running and idle

idle issues does anyone know where the icv is on the 318is as idle is rubbish anywhere from stall to 1800 rpm very annoying i look like a learner drivin down the rd lol when driving though drives like normal till car not in motion
any help much appreciated

check for a crack in the filter hose sounds like it might be taking in air. what year is it will look it up on the bentley manual 4 u ?
