Elusive fuse 47

Postby saabkiller on Sun Sep 13, 2009 3:54 pm

Can anyone please tell me where fuse 47 is? I need to power off my alarm to hopefully reset it.

The fob batteries needed replacing, but once replaced the fob needed synchronising with the alarm. I found a sequence of activities which should allow the fob to synchronise with the alarm but it did not work as the alarm needed to be in a de-activated state first. The instructions suggested disconnecting the harness to the alarm unit or pulling the fuse. Currently the alarm system flashes the hazard lights 18 times, then pauses for around 20 seconds then repeats the 18 flashes another 4 times!

The fuse specified is fuse 47, which should be behind the glovebox. I have removed the glovebox and cannot find the fuse, and do not know which unit is the alarm so I cannot disconnect it.
Thinking the glovebox on a lhd would be on the right hand side I have also looked around the steering column but to no avail.

Looking forward to some help! Thanks
