328i auto e36 just swtches off while driving or just starts running rough then i switch it of then restart then it starts running right

Any kind of symptons going on just before it dies?
Does it only die when its idling or will it die regardless of the revs?
Does it sound like its struggling or any kind of power lose prior to dieing?
The ONLY Hellrot Red 323 in the world, emmm except for the other few thousand dotted around the world.
