My engine starts when it wants, helpppppp

Hi i got a bmw 325 i 1993, right now it s running good, but sometimes the car does not want to start, i am on the street running, i park de car, and sometimes it does not want to start so i wait for some minutes and it starts, i need help,,,,,,,, what can be this?

Sounds like it could be a lot of things. Mine would take a while to start, and would take longer the longer it sat, like over night. There's a back flow valve in the fuel pump that keeps the fuel system primed. New fuel pump, problem solved.
