No cold air from air con

Ok now summer is on it's way and I discover my air con dosn't want to work
There is plenty of presure in the cooland and the clutch is working on the pump just that I get no cold air blowing out of the vents.
Does anybody have any other ideas I can check without having to drain the system.

First: check pollen filter
Second: Check air-conditioning compressor

Damn I didn't realise it's been so long since I asked about this well I just pulled my car to pieces to check the pollen filter to find that there isn't 1 it has been removed and not replaced.
As for the compressor the clutch engages on it and turning it by hand can feel resistance I don't know how easily it should turn tho (had to remove the belt and then start the motor to do this so the clutch would engage)
