Hi folks!
Only just discovered this forum after struggling to find answers elsewhere.
I have a '96 BMW 325tds manual, and having found that my rear shocks were nackered i went to purchase some replacements. However, on my way back form picking them up I heard this creaking sound from the rear at low speeds (can be heard up to about 30mph)
Got the car up on some ramps last night and started lookin around underneath.
We narrowed it down to the coil area and after tugging and twisting what we could get hold of it seems to be caused by the wishbones.
I took a video of it here (sorry about the talking in it ):

I was hoping someone would be able to tell me what is causing this creaking?
We checked the coils and they looked to be in a relatively good order, certinally not broken?
Also would they make a sound if they were?
The bushes at either end of the wishbone look ok too, they still have a considerable amount of rubber left on them and they certinally dont seem to be rubbing metal on metal which is what I thought this sounded more like?
Is it possible that the rubber mount at the bottom of the coil has worn out and the roil is simply sat on the wishbone?
I'll be replacing the shocks this weekend and will be able to get a better look then. I was just hoping someone would be able to tell me what was causing it before then so that I could get parts and save myself the effort of taking it in bits twice?
Thanks in advance everyone!
