Hi guys, new to the forum... I'm having trouble with my 1996 323i. Lovely car, but it's overheating and there is no hot air blowing from the heater.

I know a little about cars so here's what I have done so far: New water pump with metal bits instead of plastic. New thermostat (also tried it with no thermostat). New radiator (old one had warped).

After each of these new parts the car still overheats and I am now at a loss to understand why. Could it be that I have an airlock I have failed to release? Can someone give me a detailed procedure on how to sort this if it's a possibilty. I have now spent some serious time and money on a car that seems increasingly worth little of either! Please help! Jon

heater matrix or airlock, or, a block in the water ways, try running some stuff friom halfords or motorfactors, its stuff that breaks down the crap inside, but you need to flush the whole system as per the instructions after and back flush the rad
