hi guys im new here as i have recently purchased a 91 320 auto saloon and it has the removable tow ball function my question is where is it located? i cant seem to find it anywhere or the location it would fit into!? any help would be greatly appreciated
oh and my cental door locking function has stopped workin so i took my doorcard off (well its hanging anyway! ) and there are lots of unused wires and plugs in there too there are 3 plugs at the top left together and the middle one is out and taped down there is another plug like the one that attaches to the mirror swith next to the mirror switch and extra speeker plugs too just wondered if anyone had a diagram for this too? thanks guys hope to hear from you soon
If the tow bar was fitted by BMW there should be a cover/flap at the bottom of the rear bumper in the center. If it wasn't fitted by BMW you're most likely looking underneath the rear bumper for two pieces of metal pointing towards you that the tow ball piece will slot in between and bolt into. Lay on the ground and have a look up underneath?
I'm also interested in the second part. When I was putting in after market tweeters I found lots of unused plugs hanging around but never found out what they were for.
Oh right I get you now, sorry. By the looks of things they have either a modified "Spare wheel oddments box" or a piece that sits inside. I would venture a guess that you have already looked in that area? On an 18~ year old car it's not uncommon for there to be things missing.
