I will start with the most interesting incident that happened with me 2 years ago while driving my E36.
It was the first rainy day of winter and I was driving on the highway at 3am doing around 90-100kph. The highway has a slight turn in it, with the road wet and as soon as I started to slightly turn my wheel the car suddenly turned sideways and started skidding along the middle of the highway with literally ZERO traction. I had 2year old Yokohama C-drive tires at the time 205/16/R15 if my memory serves me correctly. For approx 10secs that felt like minutes at the time the car wasn't slowing at all, the break pedal was all the way down, the dash read 0kph, and around 1k RPM. There was no-one on the road Thank God for that. The buildings on the side of the road were zooming past me I looked right and left and saw the road that I drove through and was looking at just a few seconds before. I think it was boredom that told me to put my car in neutral so that I don't break my transmission, turn the wheel and lift the E-break may be the car would lose speed and instead rotate and come to a stop sometime soon. I did just that, and saw myself rotating in the middle of the freeway @ may be 70kph with everything turning around me. My car ended up hitting the small separation between the 2 highways and breaking my spoiler and denting the trunk lid and the rear bumper just a bit. Finally it came to a stop in the middle of the road, I parked it @ the side, checked it and luckily it wasn't hit very badly considering the incident I just went through.
I still don't know what made me lose traction... Freak incident perhaps.
