Soon roof just fixed but working 95%.

Hi everybody, I just "fixed" my soonroof on my E36 (325i/1192, production date Oct 91) and the dealer sugested me to buy a part that before was plastic for a metalic one is the one included in the "Repair kit", now the sliding part (same color as the headlinner) do not close 100%, still open for about 1 inch, wich was the extra lenght of the plastic part before changing to the metalic one, but the plastic part used to go out of the rails due it was longer.

Any idea what is wrong with the ensambling of the soonroof
Please help!!!
