I recently experienced lack of power when driving my 316. I booked her in to my local garage for a few bits that needed doing and they suggested it was my mass air flow meter on the blink. So I acquired one from a scrappy matched the part number and pin combination on the part. When changed, the car started, but on th first rev cut out, now won't start again! I've tried the old meter and tried running without one, and still nothing. I've tried disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU but still no luck. The fuel pump is working, the ignition is working and I've cleaned all the connections and checked for loose wires.
Any one else had a similar issue and what they did to fix it? Or any ideas of what else I can try?
Cheers
Ian
