Throttle responce

Hi guys.
I have a E36 318i and the throttle responce is driving me mad because its poor. I have fitted a chip and its a little bit better but still wery bad. Is there any thing i can do about this?
And can anybody tell me how to reset the inspection lights? ( not oil ).

What inspection lights? The service reminder light that comes up beneath your odometer when you start the car?

The throttle response, is it unnaturally slow like theres something delaying the car or is it just normal but to slow for your liking?

I think the throttle responce is normal bul i would like it to be mutch faster.

Ways of better throttle response is giving the throttle body interior a high level of polishing or just replacing it with something bigger.
A de-cat exhaust or even a forced air intake will improve throttle response aswel. There is plenty of ways, just depends on what your willing to spend or do.

I think i will go for the bigger throttle body. What kind wil be the best to use?

You running a supercharger in your 318?
There is plenty of things to do to that to get more torque.

yip .. i fitted a sc12 supercharger off a toyota mr2 motor. I am rinning the boost very low (0.5bar) because the motor is still standard. With the charger i fitted a unichip with an extra turbo mojule that does the feuling when i switch the charger on and when off it switches to normal mode for feul eccanomical . The throttle responce is a bit better when i switch on the charger but not the way i would like it.

Yea that looks good, wouldn't be a huge fan of the spoiler though. If you up the boost on your charger youl get alot more torque, supercharger is'nt like a turbo charger the supercharger has power at every rev instead of just higher up revs.
Or else get your car tuned on a rolling road, if you just fitted the supercharger and didn't do anything to the air/fuel mix you will be missing out on a fair bit of power. Changing the crank pulley on the charger to a bigger one will get the charger spinning faster and result in more power. Just keep in mind that your 318 engine is rated for 110-140bhp, you can only really increase the power by 15-20% before you will have to replace main engine pats that are rated to the higher power!

One more thing, and this is going to sound dumb but how mutch bhp is 120kw? and how does one work it out?

1KW is equal to 1.34BHP. So 120KW is about 160BHP.
