I'm going to repaint my standard rims has anyone got any idea of what the blue-ish grey colour is on the back/inside of the rim is called or a paint code for this colour would be great..................Cant find any info on this, but having found some old white 2k and some and a tin of cobalt blue mixing colour in my shed, just dipped the mixing stick in the blue and then stirred the white with it and hay presto the exact colour ive kept my compressor and spray guns from when i had my workshop, so have amused myself by refurbing my wheels think ill get rid of the stone chips and other little blemishes now and respray the whole car
I learned a lesson with my Saab when it came to painting the rims...even with "wheel paint" if the color is light (this case I was with stock silver color) they tend to stain easily after painting. Then I discovered Rustoleum's Clear wheel coat and used it after I let the color coat cure. It really protected...no more staining!!
Thanks for that its duly noted , I painted mine in 2 pack mixing aluminium base coat then 2 pack clear looks fine so far I would assume as its car paint it hopefully wont be any different than on a panel , Time will tell many thanks anyway I will keep your stuff in mind
