Hi Guys,

I’ve found some photos of carbon fiber hoods that fit perfectly in the BMW E36 cars. So, I thought I should share this with you and see if you like it or not? I think the carbon fiber hoods will look great on black BMW E36 cars, and maybe white cars too, but I’m not sure about the rest especially if they’re not painted. For painted ones, I didn’t see any examples yet to judge, but I think it will look cool too. Pay special attention to the vents. They would look awesome with some side air vents. What do you think?

    That is carbon fibre, not fibreglass. Only looks ok on dark coloured cars if it only has a clear coat on it. I would be painting it for light coloured cars. Depends if you are getting it for looks or weight reduction as well I guess. For myself, I would paint it to match the car, whatever the colour is.

    i used to make these and have to say if the cloth is layed and vacked good they looke the dogs bollox for sure

    and why on earth would you ever want to paint it there is nothing better than seeing woven cloth “italian carbon fiber”

    hey if you where the maker of the hood would you not have removed the indent for the badge and just had it smooth?

    imo they look alot better de-badged and everyone knows what a bimmer is 😉

    as for painting them well you can paint anything but the quality of the outcome will be poor regardles of the effort and time put in

    leave it as it is….
